Early Life

Dee Snider was born in Astoria, Queens, and grew up in Freeport and Baldwin, both on Long Island. His father, Bob, was a retired New York State Trooper and Nassau County court clerk, while his mother, Marguerite, was a retired art teacher. With a diverse family background, Snider was raised as an Episcopalian. As a child, he showcased his vocal talents in church choirs, school choruses, and even the All-State Chorus. He graduated from Baldwin Senior High School in 1973.

Family Life

Since 1981, Snider has been happily married to Suzette, a costume designer. The couple has four children and four grandchildren. Cheyenne, one of their children, was in the band They All Float.

Health

Despite being in his late 60s, Dee Snider remains in good health. His strong commitment to his Christian faith, as he mentioned during the 1985 PMRC Senate hearings, may have contributed to his overall well-being.
